No, he’s not a bird. He’s our red squirrel! He flies around the trees, gives us inquisitive looks, and sometimes barks at us before running away. Occasionally I’ve seen two squirrels at a time in our yard, but usually only one, which I assume is this one. I have no idea if he is really a man, but we call him “squirrel man.”
He looks so healthy! Nothing like the rats we have here in Chicago!

What a great picture of your “squirrel man”! I don’t have a camera that can capture the quick squirrels we have in the trees outside our apartment; I hope it’s OK if I send friends in the States a copy of your photo so they can see what a Berliner red squirrel looks like!
